Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the NA Data and Platform Simplification TPM organization, who will have scope and responsibility across one or more business domains, like: Acquisitions, Identity, Servicing, Offer Management, Risk & Compliance, Data Platforms, Data Regulations and Data Protection. The scope for this role is both broad, across a business unit and deep, in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to reengineer, simplify, and modernize enterprise-wide platform and services. This role is both enterprise in nature and startup in mindset because we are creating and building this division from the ground floor. The Principle Technical Program Manager role will work in a fast-paced environment, have constant demands for on time delivery, and will require understanding our customer needs, analysis and design, strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. This role requires someone to be both a leader and teacher as we bring in a cutting-edge program management and a continuous improvement mindset and skillset to the organization. It requires a leader to deal with high degrees of ambiguity, ensure strategic alignment, and effectively drive project delivery, while collaborating with the business, fellow TPM organizations and the project/delivery teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
In this role you will operate with independence to define and drive the overall end-to-end execution of our roadmap for platform simplification and modernization. You will see around corners to manage dependencies, dive deep with engineers across the company, and regularly communicate with VPs, senior leaders, and stakeholders at all levels. You will amplify your impact working closely with a talented team of software development managers, principal engineers, and senior leaders to define business and systems requirements, write design specifications, drive project schedules from design to release, and manage the production launch of a brand-new app architecture. You will drive mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions, ensuring business and technical leaders are aligned. You will demonstrate exceptional judgment in making tradeoffs, building consensus, knowing how and when to escalate, and identifying and mitigating risks before they become blockers. You will clearly and succinctly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes so your teammates and leaders understand the decisions they must make and the downstream consequences.

The right candidate will possess a stellar technical program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large, significantly complex projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background conversant in current data and cloud technologies. You understand technical program management and engineering best practices and you use that knowledge to drive simple and coherent approaches towards building the best solutions and scalable platforms for our customers. You must be able to thrive and succeed in a dynamic environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a Principal TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and anticipate and make tradeoffs, balancing the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications and project plans, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role

You will encourage teams to decouple from organizational and architectural dependencies, eliminating redundancy, and landing work with the right teams. Working through a boundary-less approach across the organization. You will continuously monitor capacity, demand, execution, delivery, and hygiene via key performance indicators including: capacity, demand, backlog, velocity, quality, project throughput, spend, regulatory compliance, and application security. You ensure execution aligns with all regulatory requirements while continuously working to simplify and to automate the necessary and auditable "paperwork” and processes. You will need to be a smart risk taker, who can deliver big ideas as well as transform them into scalable programs. This position has exposure to senior members of the organization, where you would be preparing documentation for senior executives and align roadmaps with organizational objectives

Not only will you communicate with business, technology, audit, risk, fraud, and finance executives, you will build relationships with them. Establish collaborative and productive relationships with product management, governance, UX design, vendors and other supporting teams. Foster an environment of engineering excellence and innovation. Insist on designing to the edge. You will be data driven and without bias in your approaches. You have a proven ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. You will possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to influence teams to deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will actively encourage the development of your people while continuously raising the bar on performance and technical depth.

Requirements:

• Experience in conceptualizing, designing and delivery of engineering outcomes & product launches across cross functional teams and domains

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
• Hands on and leadership experience (10+ years) leading technical teams in a complex and fast past moving environment.
• Experience with cloud computing, online services, externalizable APIs, enterprise software development, engineering and associated operations at scale, application security

and/or

• Experience delivering advanced analytics solutions including predictive and prescriptive analytics, real time streaming analytics, visualization and data lakes and marts at scale at large complex enterprise
