This job is temporary in nature. There is no commitment for full-time employment after the completion of program; however, internship and Co-Op programs should primarily be used as a strategic feeder to full-time recruitment efforts. Apprenticeships are common in functions such as: IT, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, General Management, or General Administration.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESIn accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Duties and responsibilities will vary and will be determined by functional supervisors. Candidates will be assigned to a supervisor who will provide guidance during work assignments and complete a written evaluation at the end of the experience. The apprentice should be participating in an academic program for the duration of their assignment. On-the-job training should relate to the apprentice's field of study. The apprentice may work a full-time or part-time schedule. Apprentices may receive credits, and certifications or fulfill requirements for graduation through an apprenticeship period.

Complete projects that increase process efficiencies, reduce cycle time, and cost, and improve overall quality of execution within assigned departments using project management methodologies (I.E. FPX).

Makes significant improvements in the assigned areas by using process excellence methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma).

Undertakes and successfully completes project tasks to include any of the following: optimizing manufacturing processes, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes.

May assist in crafting concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods.

Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results.

Follow all environmental, safety, and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHA's 18001).

Other duties are assigned as needed.

Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level

Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices as applicable.

Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

QualificationsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program in a Science, Engineering, or Business field. (Industrial manufactural, Engineering | technical - biological, Biochemical or sciences | Management, logistics)

Incumbents must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, be in good academic standing, and have completed at least two years of studies.

Previous Internship/Coop and/or Academic Research experience is desired.

Extracurricular experience in a student association/organization is a plus.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Must be available to work 40 hours per week during standard business hours (8am-5pm) without conflicts

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

Requires proficiency in English; must have excellent ability to write in English.

Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio and Minitab knowledge is helpful.

Ability to assess issues and opportunities, prioritize, and act to succeed quickly.
