At Caterpillar, we have an established RPA COE and this role will drive the adoption of RPA automation technologies such as Automation Anywhere or Microsoft Power Automate Desktop across the enterprise. This role focuses on working with teams across the enterprise and around the world to leverage RPA to improve business results and increase ROI through automation.What You Will Do:They direct a managed service that is responsible for supporting the RPA COE's shared environments. These tasks include managing automations(bots), infrastructure, tickets from bot developers and owners.Development:

Own/Maintain/Enforce Developer Standards.

Own/Create COE example bots.

Lead team code reviews.

Mentor developers as needed.

Leadership:

Direct Offshore team activities.

Make strategic and tactical decisions in weekly development/support meetings.

Participate in weekly Steering Committee meetings setting resource allocation and priority for the Intelligent Automation COE

Mentor team members as need.

Initial point of escalation for issues.

Architecture:

Keeping up to date with new and existing technology.

Provide consulting as needed to business units.

Instigate/review new application requests.

Investigate technical process improvements for the COE.

Design new integrations with the RPA COE shared environments.

What You Have:

Strong RPA experience.

Automation Anywhere or Power Platform Preferred.

Strong application development.

Preferred languages (.Net, Java, Python, PowerShell, Visual Basic Script).

Experience performing code reviews.

Experience application support.

Windows desktop applications.

Web applications.

Experience developing or supporting apps with database integration.

SQL Server preferred.

Experience with windows desktop and server OS Administration Experience.

Installing/patching applications.

Windows image management.

Building VMs.

Cloud infrastructure management experience.

Solid network troubleshooting skills.

Familiar with firewall rule creation and management.

Willingness to pick up new technologies.

Other Low Code Development experience.

Vendor Management Experience

Development Team Lead Experience

Strong Project Management skills

Self-starter

MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS AND Work out of the office 3 times a week.

This position may require 10% travel.
