This is a highly visible role that will work closely with the Regional Controller and corporate leadership team.Interested candidates must have a bachelor degree in accounting or finance and a proven track record with 5+ years of progressive accounting, audit and analysis experience. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and records.

Insightful extraction, interpretation and analysis of data to provide management with relevant information that influences financial decisions.

Oversee the operations of the accounting department including the design of an organizational structure suitable for achieving department’s goals and objectives.

Develop and monitor the implementation of budgets, conduct cost & productivity analyses, and assist in the preparation of the company's budget.

Implement effective systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

Due Diligence on potential acquisitions.

Revenue recognition with (Work In Progress, Percentage of Completion or Earned Revenue)

Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.

Regular inspection of accounting books and systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.

Coordination of year-end audits and liaising with internal and external auditors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred.

Proven track record of 5+ years of experience accounting, audit and financial analysis.

Construction or manufacturing industry experience required.

Thorough knowledge of GAAP and industry-related federal and state guidelines and regulations.

Ability to travel 15% - 20% (TX or CA)

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role or similar is required. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is necessary. Must have experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary. Knowledge of Revenue Recognition principles is required. Ability to handle WIP - Work In Progress and understand the percentage (%) of completion. Must be able to Analyze Financial Statements effectively.
