This position offers the unique opportunity to take on a senior supervisory-level role with the potential for rapid advancement to a managerial position and taking on a leadership role within the tax department. Reports to: Tax ManagerMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field
5+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax with a focus on compliance
Intermediate/advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be willing to work some weekends and evenings as required to meet reporting deadlines

Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Tax or Business Administration
CPA certification or CPA eligible
Proficiency in Thomson Reuters OneSource Income Tax software
Working Conditions:This position operates in a professional office environment which may require sitting for extended periods.Supervisory Responsibilities: YesEssential Job Functions:The job functions include a broad variety of tax matters including, but not limited to the following:
Prepare and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income returns for the company and other affiliated entities.
Assist with income tax provision compliance & financial statements audit to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Prepare and review state modification and apportionment schedules.
Maintain tax basis depreciation records and intangible asset schedules.
Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates and year-end projections.
Analyze and reconcile various tax-related general ledger accounts: deferred tax balances, income tax expense, and Federal and state tax payable accounts.
Manage and assist with Federal, state income & franchise tax audits.
Manage state tax controversy matters including notices and adjustments.
Coordinate, prepare, and oversee annual reports filings.
Research and maintain a working knowledge of state income/franchise tax developments.
Maintain federal, state, and local tax calendar.
Collaborate with other departments within the organization and provide assistance as needed.
Manage relationships with external tax consultants and provide guidance on the implementation of various tax planning strategies.
