DescriptionThe Medical Assistant (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Medical Assistant (II) performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam.

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

6 months Healthcare experience

6 months Medical Assistant experience

National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

  • Summary This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Cropping Systems Research Laboratory, Plains Area in Lubbock, Texas. In this position, you will work with the Administrative Officer and staff in providing administrative support to Cropping Systems Research Laboratory personnel. Responsibilities Responds to walk-in application and callers inquiring about employment opportunities and other appropriate information. Provides information on policies, procedures and regulations for training. Uses database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, or retrieve data for standard reports, and uses graphics software to provide charts, graphs, or directories. Coordinates the awards program which includes submitting and tracking performance documents. Supports staff in the preparation of SF-52, Request for Personnel Action, and prepares other administrative or personnel forms. Reviews human resources action requests for accuracy and completeness and ensures necessary changes are made.
