Mid-level Software Engineer Description:
Develop and maintain application-level software for secure/nonsecure telephone applications and/or related telecommunication equipment.
Derive and document software requirements.
Perform preliminary and detailed design.
Code software using C programming language in a Linux environment.
Write and execute software tests.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Computer Science or related engineering field.
At least 5-8 years of experience using C application programming.
Solid understanding of and experience with
Linux/Unix or similar operating system;
Software engineering practices including the development life cycle; and
Object-oriented software development methodologies.
Demonstrated problem solving, organizational, planning, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of working on complex systems and meeting deliverables with limited supervision.
Previous experience with Qt, Google Protocol Buffers, C 11, Boost, and/or software-hardware interfaces is a plus.
Preference will be given to candidates willing to acquire a DoD security clearance.
