Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in San Antonio, Texas, for a contract to hire employment opportunity. This role involves maintaining and processing customer credit records, ensuring efficient and accurate customer credit applications, and monitoring customer credit accounts in the telecom industry.Responsibilities: Accurately post cash receipts, discounts, allowances, price differences, returns, and other chargebacks to customer accounts in a timely manner. Manage and negotiate chargeback claims. Perform bank account reconciliations. Create new customer accounts as required. Conduct credit checks and provide credit references. Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities. Track and investigate deductions (chargebacks) from customer payments. Process, transmit, and run credit card transactions for customer sales and refunds. Investigate and resolve customer queries. Communicate with customers via phone or email as necessary. Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as requested. Process customer account adjustments. Requirements Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) management Able to process daily cash receipts accurately and efficiently Experienced in handling and resolving chargebacks Capable of performing bank account reconciliation tasks Skilled in credit card transaction processing Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively Knowledge of standard accounting principles and procedures Proficient in the use of accounting software and applications Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in work Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
