The right candidate will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the construction office, including OSHA, and Construction safety.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety Director for the home office building (DR Horton) and the field (construction sites)
OSHA set up for all subdivisions (maintenance and enforcement) Certified in the 10 hour course
Supervise the Construction Assistant and the office assistant
Office support for the Construction Manager, General Superintendents and all field personnel
Review and approve overhead cost for Construction Department
Negotiates for all sub-contractor services (ground and vertical) and professional services (architectural and engineering)
Maintain construction office and handle problems while Construction Manager is in the fieldSupervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises two or more employees in the Construction Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
