Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst in San Antonio, Texas. The role primarily revolves around providing both onsite and remote technical support to end users. This position is integral to our team, facilitating the smooth operations of our software and hardware systems.Responsibilities: Handle help requests from business users, whether in-person, via telephone, or through electronic methods. Monitor and maintain end user system accounts, including permissions and access rights. Work collaboratively with team members to detect and resolve software or hardware related issues. Administer, process, and track end user system access permission forms. Engage in the analysis of documented resolutions and trends to devise strategies for future problem prevention. Stay updated with software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ's available on the internet to aid in problem resolution. Acquire familiarity with the appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization. Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, like software installation and upgrades, hardware installation, and system and application configuration. Assist in managing resources such as video conferencing, loaner equipment, conference bridges, and room reservations. Contribute to maintaining inventory control of technology equipment. Generate help sheets and FAQ lists for end users. Support IT projects through research. Collaborate with the networking team to ensure the timely completion of projects and initiatives. Continually expand knowledge of the business and technology trends relevant to our operations. Cross-train on applications and hardware within the team.
