Description Our client in San Antonio is searching for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join their team. This position plays a crucial role in our financial planning and decision-making processes, utilizing your expertise in financial analysis, presentation, data mining techniques, and business systems. Responsibilities: Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits. Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company. Identifying and managing financial risks and opportunities. Utilizing various data sources to create comprehensive financial reports. Implementing and overseeing budget processes and capital management strategies. Conducting audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Leveraging data mining techniques for detailed financial analysis and forecasting. Coordinating with the logistics team to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Assisting in various accounting functions as needed.Requirements The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or a similar role. Experience in intermodal trucking is essential. Experience with 'About Time', 'Accounting Functions', 'Auditing', 'Budget Processes', and 'Capital Management' tools is required. Must have a solid understanding of 'Logistics' and the ability to apply it in a financial context. The candidate should be able to handle complex financial data and build financial models for decision support. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and business acumen are necessary. The ability to communicate effectively and present financial data to non-financial individuals is crucial. The applicant should have a strong ethical framework and ability to manage confidential data. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CFA or CPA would be advantageous. The candidate should have a strong command over Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with financial software.
