Cook needed for Alzheimer's Assisted Living.
Cook needs to be very organized and detail oriented. Needs to be very responsible, experience a plus. The top priority is the best care possible for elders given with respect, knowledge and love.
Duties:
Prepares food in accordance with diet restrictions, i.e.low sodium, diabetic, etc. by following recipes; slicing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste.
Completes meal preparation following meal serving hours by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes and bowls.
Controls costs by adhering to recipes; following preparation standards.
Check outgoing food for proper amounts, types and quality of food.
Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.
Performing cleaning procedures and reporting need for repairs.
