Ability to use a computer terminal to monitor and control the campus building automation systems.

Previous experience maintaining records of installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair activities.

Knowledge of HVAC systems and various equipment and sequence of operations.

Knowledge of Chiller Water Pumping systems and various system equipment.

Knowledge of Hot Water generation and pumping systems and various system equipment.

Extensive knowledge of the Siemens APOGEE Insight Building Automation System.

Engineering experience within the Siemens Desigo CC Building Automation Systems on campus.

Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to collect and present statistical data and reports, both graphic and written.

Ability to provide technical guidance and training.

Job DescriptionMaintain plant and building hardware to provide continuous, consistent, and accurate information and control of systems, processes and equipment.Job Duties

Serve as team lead in day-to-day tasking, work orders assignments, and provide support for all campus construction divisions.

Control, install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair the instrumentation and controls for plants and buildings to meet the needs of the university.

Perform building automation reviews on all construction and remodeling submittals for campus and witness building commissioning of all projects.

Assist supervisor with annual employee reviews for the department.

Help coordinate all repair proposals needed to be procured by the supervisor.

Surveil service contractors performing BAS -related repairs throughout campus.

Maintain Siemens Insight and Desigo CC as well as server updates and programming changes as needed.

Help develop new programming strategies for building efficiencies and operations.

Coordinate with construction managers to provide layouts and design when asked for project budgeting from campus customers.

Perform other duties as assigned.
