Senior Analyst, Power BI

Overview – Data Analyst and Power BI Developer is a key role within the Data and Analytics function. Responsible for delivery of actionable insights to the corporate leaders and various functions to support Conn’s Homeplus/Badcock business. It’s a collaborative role that works across IT and functional units. The right analytics across the various function has the potential to drive value across the enterprise.Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Understand the different datasets and the business model

Help stakeholders generate actionable insights from data

Deep analytical skills to interpret data and tell a story

Build statistical models in snowflake and visualize them

Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications

Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of Power BI and other reporting tools Develop operational and functional reporting dashboards

Document requirements and identify data sources and integration needs.

Enhance existing data sources, reports and dashboards as needed.

Provide support for existing reports and dashboards

Address queries about data, reports and insights from users.

Required Experience:

Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in data and analytics with at least 3 years with PowerBI

Deep statistical modeling experience

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or similar field.

Extensive analytical capability to turn information to knowledge.

Deep technical expertise with Power BI Premium Capacity and DAX

Experience with Snowflake, Data Warehouse, SQL Server, Power Query, MDX, Power Platform

Have knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design, and more

PL 300, Power BI certification required

Experience with Marketing, Merchandising and Corp Systems reporting

Prior modeling experience with a focus on dimensional modeling

Graduate degree in Computer Science or Statistics
