Seeking a full-time, hands-on maintenance person and caretaker to help maintain an award-winning hotel resort in Manchester Vermont. This family run property includes two magnificent historic mansions, six buildings from the 1960s, an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis court, wedding venue and acres of lawns and gardens.
We seek an organized, creative problem solver with a good heart who takes pride in their work.
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in most of these areas:
carpentry
construction
plumbing
heating/cooling
roofing
masonry
electrical
machinery repair
You will be working with the hands on owners and managing the maintenance team. This is not an office job. You will be working alongside the team.
Candidates need to be organized, responsible, presentable to guests and a good team player.
Character and integrity is as important as maintenance skills.
You must be dependable, on time, answer phone/ texts promptly, be reachable for emergencies and available to work weekends and holidays during prime season. Days off are midweek in summer/fall.
On-site lodging in a one-bedroom, dog friendly apartment is available.
Valid drivers license and 5 years maintenance background are required.
