As a Family Engagement Specialist, you will do mission-guided work in a supportive environment. Extensive training is provided. Responsibilities will include facilitating family meetings, providing in-home support to prevent children from coming into DCF custody, coaching families to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody, and searching for family members. We are looking for someone who understands the complex issues facing families, including addiction, substance abuse, domestic violence and generational poverty.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field, strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Two (2) years of experience is preferred. This position also requires a vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage requirements.
Hours: This is a full time (40 hours/week), salaried position.
