The ideal candidate is an imaginative problem solver with in-depth knowledge and experience leveraging data analytics and business intelligence tools to produce large and small value-added improvements.What You'll Be Doing:

Analyzing program processes and operations to identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborating with stakeholders to establish project functionalities, features, operating parameters.

Designing and developing innovative business case solutions using Power BI and other tools.

Creating/optimizing data models to support dynamic reporting, and forecasting/management tools. ​

Writing and maintaining code for automated data processing and integration tasks.

Ensuring data accuracy; leading data curation and data cleansing activities.

Providing consultation and technical training to end-users, process owners, and program leadership.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

At least two years data analysis and business intelligence experience.

Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and report publishing.

Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, relational database schemas and diagrams.

Applied understanding of data governance principles, backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.

Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform and MS Suite (Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint).

Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Ability to think algorithmically.

Holds certifications in Power BI or other BI tools.

Understands project management principles; PMP certification a bonus.

Experience creating and presenting executive-level briefings and reports

Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, and SDLC methodologies

In the absence of the branch chief, does the final BD review and clearance. - Serves as backup in the absence of PAB Branch Chief. - Serves as a primary analyst on one or more BD PAB budget portfolios. Responsibilities include: Analyzes, summarizes, and provides independent perspective on assigned programs within the context of: (a) overall NSF and Federal support of science and engineering research and education; (b) national priorities, policies, goals, objectives, etc., as set forth by the President; and (c) programming parameters as expressed in legislation and Congressional reports. - Works with and provides technical expertise to the appropriate directorate/office personnel, the Budget Division Director, and their staffs as a recognized NSF expert in the field. - Analyzes program impacts, assesses alternative programs, and budgets, and makes recommendations for action to be taken by the Foundation. - Serves as an expert NSF back up (\"floater\") covering other BD PAB budget portfolios as necessary, perhaps for extended periods of time.
