You will work closely with program leadership to create, refine, and evaluate CAPEX and OPEX budget proposals; estimate and forecast future financial needs; monitor and track IT spend; and work collaboratively with client’s executive and legal department officials to establish an IT budget as part of an annual IT plan. This position is located at the client site in Alexandria, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.Your future duties and responsibilities: Collaborate with program delivery leadership and managers to create and modify enterprise-wide IT budget (infrastructure, platforms, applications, service/vendor agreements). Create and consolidate budgets across all IT program areas and workstreams; combine budgets in Microsoft Excel for review and analysis. Review budget/cost savings proposals, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with client standards Assist program delivery leaders and leaders to conduct business case reviews (e.g., provide due diligence financial reviews for new IT projects or procurements, perform cost-benefit analyses to determine financial efficiency as needed, develop recommendations to consolidate and/or save costs). Monitor and track annual IT spending (OPEX and CAPEX) on a monthly and quarterly basis keeping clients updated as to changes, issue notifications for any changes in the budget and any deviations from approved IT budget for the current fiscal year. Prepare budget reports (as part of Annual IT Plan as well as quarterly/monthly trend reports) in PowerPoint and Excel; present them to program delivery leadership and clients. Assist program leadership to defend IT budget recommendations with data-driven analyses. Provide advice to program leadership (and clients) with detailed and accurate cost analysis, fiscal allocation, budget preparation, and budget estimation based on future financial needs.Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent field. 5+ years of experience in IT budget analysis Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex financial issues. Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
