Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a PC Technician in Alexandria, Virginia. This role is integral to our team's operations, requiring the successful candidate to handle various tasks including diagnosing and troubleshooting computer issues, setting up and installing new hardware and software systems, and providing technical support to users.Responsibilities: Set up and install new hardware and software systems to ensure the smooth running of computer systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Conduct regular maintenance and updates on both hardware and software to ensure systems are up-to-date and running efficiently. Identify and resolve network, connectivity, and server issues to maintain a stable and secure IT infrastructure. Upgrade firmware, software, and outdated hardware systems to keep up with the latest technological advancements. Monitor and maintain security systems, including installing updates, to protect sensitive data and information. Provide technical support to users, resolving technical errors swiftly and effectively. Perform regular tests, upgrades, and backups to ensure data safety and system reliability. Prepare technical documents, such as error and maintenance reports, to keep track of system issues and resolutions. Create user documents and provide training on new computer systems to equip users with necessary skills and knowledge.
