As part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services to deliver solutions that address critical infrastructure resilience and security issues and support the military mission, while reducing environmental impacts. We take our role seriously, as our efforts ensure our installations and assets are prepared in any operating environment, present and future. The ERS Division is seeking a qualified and proactive candidate to provide strategic communications consulting services across the energy, environmental, and infrastructure portfolios. The candidate will work with a small team to support public and stakeholder engagements and develop content that aligns with the national security strategy, national defense strategy, DAF priorities and ultimately SAF/IE priorities. The Associate Strategic Communications Analyst will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Air Force clients and help transform the clients' thoughts into tailored, compelling, and easily understood messaging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, as well as an understanding of environmental, energy, and climate issues; be detail oriented; and be comfortable serving in a client-facing role. This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C area, with the flexibility to work from home while participating in some in-person client and team discussions at or near CTC's Crystal City office. Recurring in-office work may be required at the Pentagon (e.g., every Monday) at client direction. The position may entail some travel and an active secret security clearance is required.Key Responsibilities:

Work across diverse stakeholder teams to develop innovative and efficient communications and outreach solutions for climate, energy, and infrastructure issues.

Collaborate with both internal (e.g., military installations, public affairs) and external stakeholders to increase awareness of the client's initiatives and strategies

Coordinate, develop, maintain, and execute strategic communications plans focused on increasing stakeholder and strategic partner awareness

Prepare publication materials, newsletters, infographics, fact sheet, and other informational materials for both internal and external audiences

Sustain an online and social media presence under the client's direction, to include developing and managing website content, Facebook pages, and Twitter accounts

Develop and support outreach campaigns and events, such as Earth Day and Energy Action Month, and manage award campaigns within the client's portfolio

Provide detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings and forums

Assist in preparing senior Department of the Air Force leaders for public engagements addressing installations, environment, and energy topics, including developing talking points and slide deck presentations

Build and maintain strong client relationships

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, public relations, journalism, or public policy

At least four (4) years of experience in developing or supporting communications activities

Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently

Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects, while maintaining organization and timely delivery of products

Strong attention to detail and ability to think strategically about communication objectives

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills for web and print

Knowledge of PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, and other communications related outreach tools

Capacity to establish and maintain cross-functional and working relationships

Interest in national security, environmental, sustainability, energy, and climate issues

Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in related field

Experience in government consulting or supporting government organizations

Background in federal sustainability, energy and environmental programs

Graphic design experience

Knowledge of Air Force and DoD structure and operations

Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills
