DescriptionLeidos is seeking DevOps Intern to assist in developing, maintaining, documenting, and advancing the development infrastructure for a series of autonomous vehicle projects. We are looking for someone who will solve problems using scripting tools, making the team more effective.You will collaborate with developers, management, and systems engineering, to help make the development process run smoothly and produce quality output. Working in an agile environment, you will participate in development team retrospectives and work with the team to understand where things could work better and enhance our process over time. You will develop automated build plans and automated test scripts, and will work with software packaging and release creation. Testing and releases occur within our system integration labs, and after testing is complete, the team works together to test our software on real ships. You’ll be a critical part of the process of getting our system to work. You will write scripts that are used to rate the results of test data, or to generate test cases given inputs.Our team develops and deploys advanced technology solutions that address existing and emerging maritime missions of national importance for a broad range of customers across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, other governmental agencies and commercial clients. We are currently seeking qualified, motivated, engineers togrow a teamworking unmanned and autonomous systems development. Current and future projects span advanced concept and prototype development, low-rate initial production and full-rate production.Required Skills:
Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
US citizenshipas well aseligibility to obtain a DoD security clearance
Familiarity with Linux operation at the command line
Experience with Python on Linux
Desired:
Experience with system and/or network administration on a Linux platform
Experience building a C, C, or Java code using build/compile tools, such as make, scons, or maven
Experience with Linux/Windows security configurations
Experience with Atlassian Bamboo, Apache Jenkins, or other automated build systems
