Description:We are seeking an experienced Executive Administrative Assistant / Protocol Lead to provide full-time in-person support to the Vice President of International Government Affairs in our Crystal City, Arlington, VA location.What You Will Be DoingManage complex calendar engagements with an understanding of which activities are most important for the appropriate allocation of the Vice President's timePrepare and reconcile expense reports and coordinate arrangements and travel plans for domestic and international travelHandle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentialityWork independently, exercise considerable discretion, tact, and independent judgment, and be forward thinking in managing activities for the Vice PresidentHelp plan and execute customer visits and meetings, company events, conferences, and meetings, ensuring all logistics are well coordinated and adhere to protocol standardsManage protocol elements associated with meetings, including with international customers, diplomats, and embassy personnelExhibit professional interface with colleagues, employees, leaders, and customersManage the logistical requirements for senior leaders visiting the LM sitesDemonstrate initiative, discretion, and tact in managing email, telephone calls, and other requestsAssure administrative detail on all projects: update and status delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlinesMultitask effectively to handle various administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as requiredMust be able to provide full-time in-person support in our Crystal City, Arlington, VA location as needed.Who You AreThe successful candidate for this position will be an experienced administrative professional with the ability to perform a variety of administrative and protocol duties for an assigned leader or executive. This role involves performing normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining alphabetical, numerical, and/or subject files; interviewing callers and making proper referrals; arranging meetings and conferences; and receiving, referring, or answering mail. Learn more here: Global DEI.Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of demonstrated extensive experience providing executive administrative assistant support to VP level clients Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated proficiency in preparing reports, documents and presentations for executives. Sound decision making and prioritization ability, with ability to problem solve complex issues Ability to work independently and collaborate in a dynamic, changing environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent calendar management skills including the ability to coordinate complex executive meetings Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams; LM Travel and Expense Reporting system Discretion while handling sensitive information with the ability to maintain confidentiality Demonstrated ability to act with diplomacy and professionalism with customers, colleagues, and leaders Ability to handle a variety of assignments at one time and complete assignments accurately and on time Ability to travel when requiredDesired Skills: Knowledge of Lockheed Martin’s BAs, functions, procedures, and operations Demonstrated ability to support team in protocol, procedures and support benefitting senior internal and external governmental stakeholders. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
