DescriptionThe Amazon Dedicated Cloud ("ADC") Commerce Platform team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement.The AWS ADC Commerce Platform team owns and operates some of the most impactful services in AWS and we are looking for someone to help us to continue to drive improvements and optimizations through automation and process optimization. Our Software Development Engineers work in a fast-paced environment across many disciplines, collaborating with other AWS teams to deliver cutting-edge services for our customers. Our team members own the scaling and management of services across AWS regions supporting the U.S. Government. The ideal candidate is passionate about development and operations, and has a strong desire to learn about Amazon's development lifecycle. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Annapolis Junction, MD, USA | Arlington, VA, USA | Denver, CO, USA | Herndon, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
