Manager of Rehabilitation Services

Directs the day to day operations of the Children’s Hospital Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. Responsibilities include effective resource utilization, program and policy development, implementation and evaluation. As a member of the Rehabilitation Services leadership team, the individual demonstrates clinical expertise and will be involved in continuous quality improvement, customer service, resource and financial management, efficient and effective system processes and professional development.

Manage clinical programs and operations.

Manage human resources and utilization.

Supervise therapy clinicians.

Manage to Medicare, Medicaid, TJC, and/or CARF regulations.

Manage Children’s OT, PT, and SLP budgets.

Benchmarking management.

Oversee recruitment and hiring – interface with candidates, coordinate interview process, work with HR to make offers of employment.

Oversee continuing education and tuition reimbursement.

Manage staff development, providing mentoring, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed.

Manage Quality Improvement processes.

Implement and monitor best practices.

Collaborate with Director in program development.

Develop, implement, measure and refine policies and procedures.

Manage individual and departmental goals.

Oversee implementation of performance evaluation process to ensure objectivity and consistency.

Manage staff and practice committee meetings.

Collaborate with Manager colleagues to fully develop teams and maximize the quality of patient care.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology. Prefer Master’s Degree or higher in one of the three disciplinesExperience: 3 years of Supervisory Experience. Possesses well developed written and oral skills. Possesses personal qualities of integrity, maturity and flexibility coupled with high energy, tenacity and resourcefulness.Licensure: None required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
