Position Purpose:The principal purpose of this position is to provide a wide-range of support to attorneys and other business partners engaged in addressing legal issues effecting store and supply chain operations and merchandise. Subject matters include, but are not limited to, store and product regulatory and legal compliance, intellectual property and commercial litigation.Primary Responsibilities: Assist with responding to government inquires, notices and violations regarding compliance and regulatory matters (OSHA, FDA, EPA, CPSC and other local and state agencies) Act as liaison between in-house attorneys, business partners and outside counsel Identify, collect and analyze data and information, including email and merchandise purchase and sales data in order to respond to various legal matters and/or subpoenas Research and gather responses to discovery and identify witnesses for depositions in intellectual property, real estate and commercial litigation matters Respond to subpoenas issued to the Company Work with outside vendors, business partners and outside counsel to manage remediation in ADA and store regulatory matters Issue and manage document retention mandates Assist with maintaining trademark portfolio Assist with preparing presentations for meetings with regulators and government officials Special projects as assigned by attorneys within the departmentMinimum Qualifications: 5-7 years relevant experience Associates Degree in related field required Paralegal Certification Preferred Proficient with MS Office Suite
