THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Danville State hospital is looking for a dedicated individual to work in our facility. We are seeking a hard working, enthusiastic, and compassionate employee to join our team.DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is a Clerical Assistant 2 position assigned to the nursing department at Danville State Hospital (DSH). This position is responsible and accountable for performing moderately complex clerical services and clerical support to the CNE/NM/RNS to ensure operations of the nursing department are conducted efficiently and effectively.Additional details regarding the duties of this position may be found in the position description.Work hours and additional information:Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

May change based on operational needs.

Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or

Graduation from high school; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.How to Apply:
