The Caseworker will provide case management services to consumers and their families in their home or community who have developmental disabilities or who experience severe and persistent mental illness. Collaborate with consumers and other involved agencies to locate and access all community resources and supportive services.On day one of employment, CMSU's employees begin earning paid vacation and sick time. In addition to vacation and sick time, CMSU provides four (4) personal days per year and 15 paid holidays. CMSU also provides health, dental and vision insurance to its staff. Tuition reimbursement for graduate and undergraduate courses both in-person or on-line is also available. CMSU staff also qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or

Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or

A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or

A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

Other Requirements:

PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
