Our work depends on Data Analyst Advisor joining our team to support the mission of protecting the Medicare and Medicaid programs from fraud, abuse, or misuse through collaboration with a team of experts. The position will provide expertise in Medicare policy, conduct analyses to identify vulnerabilities, and present findings and recommendations to our team and customer, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).Responsibilities:

Performs data analysis, interpretation, and leadership duties. Develops rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis

Work with an interdisciplinary team to find insights in data and apply regulatory knowledge to make informed recommendations

Report or present findings to a wide range of audiences to inform decision making, policy recommendations, and solutions to protect beneficiaries and our healthcare programs

Continuously search for innovative solutions to solve complex challenges, build efficient processes, and deliver value to CMS.

Required Skills:

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field.

8+ years of related experience conducting analytics and research of Medicare and/or Medicaid programs

Experience conducting research and analysis of complex Medicare and/or Medicaid program vulnerabilities through the use of data mining, data modeling, and analysis.

Desired Skills:

Experience working with SAS, Python, R, or related business intelligence and data analytic tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to work with a team, ability to apply critical thinking to make informed recommendations, ability to present findings to a range of audiences (technical, non-technical, leadership, etc.)
