We are seeking an Instructional Developer to join our team to support Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) activities. As an Instructional Developer, you will perform a variety of advanced administrative and analytical tasks in support of a contract program. You will establish and define program plan requirements and perform in-depth studies; develop plans to assess quality and perform related monitoring tasks; assist with process development and implementation; monitor and report on program performance; and interact with the customer and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.The successful candidate must be able to work independently in a team environment and be flexible around evolving needs while managing both schedule and overall commitments in order to meet project deliverables.This is a remote position (centered in the DC-MD-VA area).In this role, a typical day will include:
Developing tests and visual aids, conducting training classes, and helping develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Directing the completion of targeted training programs and projects.
Driving the development and design of training material.
Using a variety of software packages for graphics, animation, edits, interactive video, and related state-of-the-art technology applicable to a wide variety of projects.
Coordinating the delivery of both instructor-led and computer-based trainings in accordance with contract requirements (including ensuring that all materials are Section 508 compliance).
Maintaining current knowledge of policies and procedures applicable to the operations of the care provider network.
Prooing and providing feedback on materials prepared by peers.
Developing and maintaining knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
May involve some supervisory/task lead responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience.
5+ years of experience preparing documentation for delivery or publication.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with Agile approaches such as Scrum and SAFe.
Familiarity with Confluence and SharePoint.
Training/education/experience in task coordination; functional knowledge of IT project management concepts and tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage frequently changing priorities of competing importance.
Ability to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our program.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines, following detailed written policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
