The successful candidate will lead the business analysis and SAP development efforts, resolve and escalate impediments, manage risk, help assure value delivery and drive program-level continuous improvement. The SM is accountable for the overall planning, coordination, execution and delivery of value for the Agile teams. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of SAFe Agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to be able to assist with transitioning from a traditional waterfall approach into a hybrid SAFe Agile practice. The candidate will work closely with program leads, functional and technical teams and the government client to fully understand and develop the stories that our Agile teams will execute.This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.Your future duties and responsibilities: Facilitate the coordinated preparation and execution of release planning for the Agile team. Work with the Agile Team to prioritize the features to be considered in the next program increment (PI) planning cycle. Facilitate the Agile Team’s refinement of features to be considered in the next PI planning cycle to meet the Feature Definition of Ready. Assist the Agile Team in communication and coordination with stakeholders and customers during feature definition and delivery. Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and other Agile activities. Facilitate effective communication and coordination for and during PI planning. Manage changes to the Agile Team’s PI plan and the impacts of those changes. Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments. Understand, visualize and manage upstream/downstream dependencies. Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity. Work with other teams to coordinate development and integration testing across multiple teams. Work across stakeholders and teams to continuously improve. Participate with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter expert to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and be an advocate in adopting Agile and SAFe best practices and processes.Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship. 7+ years of experience in IT focusing on development projects using Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban. Certified Scrum Master. Experience with SAFe methodologies. Ability to work with the client business owner and end-users to build well-defined Agile stories and work with Functional and Technical staff to build clear acceptance criteria. Experience with JIRA and Confluence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business administration or related field.Desired qualifications SAFe certification(s). Experience working as a Scum Master in the Federal environment. Experience with SAP implementations. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
