Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in Glen Allen, Virginia. As a key player in the healthcare industry, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, managing inbound calls and verifying insurance details with precision. Your role will also involve the proficient use of healthcare software systems to manage patient records and clinical operations.Responsibilities: Manage and direct incoming phone calls from patients and healthcare providers Verify patient insurance details and handle billing functions accurately Utilize Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, and EHR SYSTEM for patient record management Assist in the operations of clinical trials by maintaining accurate charts and graphs Respond to patient inquiries, providing clear and comprehensive information Monitor patient accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary Utilize AWS Athena to analyze and present data Maintain the confidentiality and security of all patient information Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction Continuously update skills and knowledge to provide high-quality service to patients.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role. Proficiency in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, and EHR System is necessary. Skilled in answering and managing inbound calls. Experience with billing functions is required. Familiarity with preparing and interpreting charts and graphs. Understanding of clinical trial operations is crucial. Knowledge of AWS Athena is beneficial. Ability to perform insurance verifications is a must.
