At Food.Bar.Food, we pride ourselves on providing our guests with a creative, but approachable, menu that features all made from scratch items, with as many local ingredients as we can utilize. We are known, in part, for our number of dietary restriction friendly menu items, our commitment to sustainability, supporting local farms/vendors/businesses, as well as our creative approach to producing Global Comfort Food, and Inspired Cocktails. Each new menu, in the last year, has included the addition of one new local ingredient, farm, or vendor. We use, primarily, compostable take-out containers, and utilize an excellent composting service; provided by Soil Cycles HVA. We are committed to sustainability, supporting local businesses and standing out from the crowd. Our chef won a local radio contest for Best Chef, in the "540's Finest", has been featured on WHSV, participated in a young peoples culinary education program at JMU, and will be featured in the next issue of Virginia Living Magazine's issue of "Smoke + Salt". For 4 years straight, we have won "Best of Virginia", in Virginia Living Magazine - Best Brunch and Most Creative Cocktails. Best restaurant is next!

We are looking to fill full time and/or part-time line cook, prep cook, dishwasher positions, at Food.Bar.Food, in Downtown Harrisonburg. If you have baking experience, we are also looking for someone with experience in baking and pastries; if you have interest in baking, regardless of your experience level, feel free to apply.

We are looking for applicants with the following qualities:

- Strong work ethic

- Attention to detail

- Able to multitask

- Able to work in a team-oriented environment

- Experience is ideal however, everyone starts somewhere

- If experienced, you must (when necessary) be capable of setting aside your own learned behaviors, methods, techniques, etc., and follow standards and procedures set, here, by the Chef

- Able to follow instructions, take direction, follow recipes to exact measurements, and recieve constructive criticism in all of these areas

- Aptitude/disposition for organization, cleanliness, self-care, quality work, motivation for learning, hunger for challenge
