We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them.This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.A day in the lifeEvery day is Day 1 at Amazon. On a typical day, our Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineers (ADCE) will support AWS CloudTrail engineering and operations by completing activities including but not limited to:
Manage and monitoring systems health and status
Provisioning devices, assisting with data ingestion, and device cleaning
Troubleshooting device, network, and/or configuration related issues
Identifying, documenting, and communicating engineering and operations recommendations to team members
Writing and disseminating after action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans
Providing on-call support when necessary

Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
3+ years Linux systems administration experience
3+ years technical troubleshooting/support experience
2+ years of networking experience (TCP/IP)
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience with cloud computing technologies.
5+ years experience troubleshooting
3+ years of networking experience
3+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
3+ years experience automating routine tasks.
3+ years experience with performance and log analysis
