Our client, a leader in the data center industry, is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer II to join their team. As a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer II, you will be part of the Facility Department supporting critical infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail, aligning successfully with the organization.Job Title: Data Center Technical Operations Engineer IILocation: Herndon, VA, USPay Range: $43.17 hourlyWhat’s the Job?

Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to established practices and procedures.

Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance.

Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Operate and manage routine and emergency services on various critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, etc.

Assist in the design, build-out of new facilities, and projects aimed at increasing current facility efficiency.

What’s Needed?

Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.

2-4 years of relevant work experience with 2-4 years of management experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
