At present, HII Defense & Federal Solutions is seeking a Logistics Support 3 candidate to assist with our Submarine Configuration program. This position is based at our Net Center in Hampton, VA, and the selected candidate will have the option to work a hybrid schedule. The chosen individual will be responsible for keeping the Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) database up-to-date with the latest configuration data for 688 class submarines.What You Will Do
Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked
Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment
Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components
Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals
Tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities
Reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment
Documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
What You Must Have
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Candidate must have prior U.S. Navy Logistics/DoD Specialist experience or Submarine Fleet Modernization experience.
Candidate must have knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and procedures.
Candidate must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a confidential security clearance.
Bonus Points For Having!
Prior experience with reading and understanding engineering drawings.
Prior experience utilizing the Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA).
Some knowledge of Model Based Product Support (MBPS)
