Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in our Service industry based in Norfolk, Virginia. The role entails meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in various tasks including reviewing Sales Orders, coding orders for purchasing, and ensuring the alignment of purchase orders with sales contracts. Additionally, the role involves monitoring delivery addresses, ordering merchandise for customers, and handling client billing and collections when necessary. Responsibilities: Review and process Sales Orders with precision Code the orders accurately for purchasing Ensure the purchase order matches with the sales contract and agreement in terms of details and pricing Review and confirm the delivery address for each order Order the merchandise for the customer in a timely manner Undertake responsibility for billing the client Handle collections if necessary for the item Employ Microsoft Excel skills to manage and organize data Create Purchase orders as per the company guidelines. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in billing processes and procedures Ability to create and manage purchase orders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience in a service industry is a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
