Equipment Coordinator

Description We are seeking an Equipment Coordinator with shipping experience for a position based in Norfolk, Virginia. The role involves managing and tracking transport equipment, maintaining regular communication with internal teams regarding inventory levels, and providing efficient customer service. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and requires you to work in a team-oriented environment.Responsibilities: Track and monitor transport equipment regularly to ensure sufficient levels for export bookings. Maintain clear and open communication with internal teams on inventory levels. Collaborate closely with Export Customer Service and Export Bookings teams, as well as external customers, to confirm sufficient equipment levels and booking releases. Resolve any immediate problems for internal and external customers promptly and efficiently. Handle inbound and outbound calls, responding to inquiries and providing excellent customer service. Process and create work orders for payments to the trucking community. Manage daily administrative tasks including data entry, email correspondence, and maintaining Microsoft Excel records. Utilize your knowledge of the shipping industry to ensure smooth operations. Ensure documentation related to equipment shipping is accurate and up-to-date.Requirements Possess the ability to efficiently handle inbound and outbound calls Demonstrated customer service skills Proven experience in data entry and email correspondence Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience in shipping and handling of equipment Knowledge of shipping documentation is required Prior experience in equipment shipping is highly desirable Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent education is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
