The Red Gate Group is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. In this role, you will manage, administer, and enhance secure cloud environments while driving continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. You’ll apply your technical expertise to develop and implement scalable solutions, supporting mission-critical operations across hybrid and multi-tenant environments. This position offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively in an Agile setting while directly contributing to national security.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure, and maintain Azure environments and resources, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and databases.Support hybrid cloud environments and ensure seamless integration across systems.Apply infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates or Terraform to build and automate secure, repeatable deployments.Administer Linux-based systems and develop Bash scripts for process automation.Implement and manage Azure networking, including subnets, virtual networks, and security groups.Collaborate within an Agile team environment, using tools such as Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.Troubleshoot and resolve issues rapidly, ensuring performance, reliability, and security standards are met.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.
