Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Reston, Virginia. This role will primarily focus on managing accounts payable and receivable, handling payroll, preparing financial reports and analyses, making journal entries, and performing reconciliations. Responsibilities: Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable Handle payroll operations efficiently Prepare and present financial reports and analyses Make journal entries as part of the accounting process Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy Maintain general ledger and facilitate month end close Utilize accounting software for various accounting operations Assist in year-end closings to ensure all financial data is accurate Use office suite for various tasks related to accounting Requirements Candidate should have proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in carrying out Bank Reconciliations is required Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management is essential Candidate should be skilled at making Journal Entries Experience in handling Month End Close procedures is necessary Proficiency in QuickBooks software is a must Experience with Year End Closings processes is desired Candidate should have hands-on experience in managing Payroll Proficiency in Office software, particularly spreadsheet software, is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
