Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Richmond, Virginia. The role is within the industry and involves processing high volumes of payments, reconciling accounts, and handling customer inquiries. This position provides the opportunity to apply and develop skills in areas such as Cash Payments, Credit Card Payments, Payment Processing, Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, Account Reconciliation, and Data Entry.Responsibilities: Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications. Handle a high volume of cash and credit card payments. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and account management tasks. Provide exceptional customer service in resolving inquiries and concerns. Ensure account reconciliation by regularly monitoring and updating customer accounts. Answer phone calls from customers seeking account information or to make a payment. Maintain accurate records of customer credit information. Take appropriate action as needed for account monitoring. Utilize data entry skills to maintain and update customer records. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient operation. Requirements Proficient in handling cash payments and credit card payments. Demonstrated experience in payment processing. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Excellent customer service skills. Experience in account reconciliation. Strong data entry skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. High level of integrity and trustworthiness. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as required by the job.
