The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$101,300.00 - $167,100.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?As a Sr. Territory Manager, Public Sector Services (PSS), you will develop and enhance relationships within the independent agency system to create opportunities for customized products for public sector business. You will solicit, negotiate, and sell all aspects of public sector business within a defined territory as well as coordinate services (claim, loss control and etc.) and distribution strategies to enhance Public Sectors' local presence and relationships with customers and agents/brokers. At the Sr. Territory Manager level, you will additionally assist in the development and deployment of countrywide best practices and strategies to improve sales and distribution management and achieve overall business and company objectives. Lastly, you will support Public Sector Field Practice Leaders in the onboarding and development of Territory Managers across the country.What Will You Do?

Execute sales strategies for Public Sector Services throughout territory to meet profitability and production objectives.

Sell industry segment underwriting and service capabilities to agents and brokers.

Identify and develop opportunities to achieve profitable growth through new business production and retention of renewal business throughout territory.

Oversee and coordinate countrywide initiatives affecting the Public Sector Services Territory Manager organization (e.g., organize monthly calls, disseminate best practices, etc.).

Collaborate with Field Practice Leaders to onboard and develop Territory Manager talent across the country.

Establish and cultivate long-term relationships with independent agencies within territory to enhance sales efforts.

Provide ongoing customer service delivery and problem resolution to agents/brokers who write public sector business within territory.

Generate, analyze, and share competitive marketplace information to identify and create a competitive sales advantage for Public Sector Services.

Work with Public Sector Services Regional Underwriting Units to help pinpoint and solve product and service development needs for public sector business.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

Six to eight years of experience in underwriting and/or marketing within the insurance industry, preferably with experience in public sector business.

Two or more years of people and/or project leadership experience.

Strong knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry, with specialized knowledge of public sector business.

Strong communication skills, including highly developed presentation skills.

Solid sales and customer service skills.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all parts of the Public Sector Services segment.

IIA course work (CPCU, ARM, etc.).

Four years of experience in sales, underwriting, or a related field.

  • Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Education Services Officer (Title 32) (Indefinite), Position Description Number D2008000 and is part of the VA G1, National Guard. Responsibilities As an Education Services Officer (Title 32), GS-1740-11, you will perform the below duties: (1) Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of assigned program areas, ensuring that legal and regulatory requirements are met. Develops goals and objectives that align organization and military human resources objectives and establishes policies and procedures for accomplishment of the same. Coordinates, plans, and schedules with other organization managers and customers as appropriate. R (2) Provides oversight as principal advisor and consultant to the MILPO and TAG. Provides advisory services to battalion and unit commanders concerning the incentives available to their assigned personnel. Ensures that leadership is in compliance with statutory and regulatory guidance to maximize program effectiveness. (3) The incumbent functions as the principal liaison between Army National Guard (ARNG) members and participating public and private educational institutions. Numerous contacts with these institutions are for the purpose of negotiating agreements for a variety of traditional, non-traditional, and special purpose education programs. (4) Formulates human resource and administrative procedures and policies based on the interpretation of regulations and directives from US law, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Army (DA), and the National Guard Bureau (NGB). Drafts and implements State policy based on the aforementioned policies. Implements program policy from NGB in accordance with State\'s strategic objectives. (5) Directs and/or performs educational and vocational counseling which consists of advising and assisting ARNG members on individual programs of study available, to include High School Equivalency (GED), correspondence, military credit conversion (ACE), analysis of life experience, self-teaching, new and innovative/non-traditional college to include Associate and Baccalaureate degree programs, first Masters or Professional degrees which meet their academic and vocational requirements. (6) Estimates and obtains the necessary program funds and determines their allocation. Provides assistance and data to the MILPO for inclusion in the budget submission as it relates to the education program. Arranges for tuition assistance for the student. Coordinates with appropriate State, local, and institutional authorities to assist service members in securing Federal financial aid through such programs as the Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), College Work-Study (CWS), National Direct Student Loan (NDSL), and Guaranteed Student Loan (GSL), etc. (7) Establishes analysis systems to ensure actions are timely and to ensure effectiveness of programs. (8) Provides supervision in technical and administrative guidance over Human Resources Assistants (Military), Human Resources Specialists (Military), and specialists within the other specialized functions of the MILPO. Plans and schedules work of subordinates based on organization priorities. (9) Conducts briefings, training, and workshops for subordinate major commands, managers, JFHQ staff and senior leadership on military personnel programs of responsibility. (10) Serves as the coordinator and senior Test Control Officer for the DANTES testing section to include ordering, receiving, accounting, and safeguarding test material with appropriate security measures; and disseminates program guidance for examinations. Determines individual readiness to take examinations, administering General Equivalency Diploma (GED), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), American College Testing/Proficiency Examination Program (ACT/PEP), Army Personnel Testing (APT) and College Level Examination Program (CLEP), general and subject examinations. When appropriate, supervises additional test control officers and satellite testing sites. (11) Develops, collects, analyzes and disseminates data on educational and incentive programs through continuous evaluations. Coordinates with other Education Services Specialists, officials or professors of educational institutions or professional education societies in providing guidance and assistance in occupational information, scholarship requirements, Army service schools and college acceptance. (12) Provides oversight in completion of assisting military personnel whose records do not indicate successful completion of civilian education requirements for commissioning Officers, appointing or commissioning of Warrant Officers, or Enlisted Soldiers who have not achieved equivalency of non-traditional educational means. (13) Coordinates with State Recruiting and Retention Manager to assist with recruiting and promotional programs in educational institutions in which National Guard programs are established. (14) Responds to official inquiries (i.e. Inspector General, congressional inquiries, etc). (15) Performs other duties as assigned. This experience must include activities such as: Experience planning, organizing, and directing the activities of assigned program areas, ensuring that legal and regulatory requirements are met. Experience providing oversight as principal advisor and consultant to the MILPO and TAG. Experience formulating human resource and administrative procedures and policies based on the interpretation of regulations and directives from US law, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Army (DA), and the National Guard Bureau (NGB).
