Marketing and Events Consultant

AM&C ConsultantAt Deloitte, we are seeking a highly organized Consultant to join our Advertising, Marketing, and Commerce offering. This role focuses on the management and execution of client-centric events and projects, ensuring exceptional service and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management and end-to-end event planning, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.Work You'll DoEvent Planning, Project Coordination, Client Relations, and Team Collaboration are the primary components of this role. In this role, you can expect the following responsibilities:

Lead the planning, organization, and execution of client events, from small-scale meetings to large conferences, including client research and recommendations based on event size, type of audience, etc.

Manage budgets, approvals, timelines, and logistics for all client events.

Source and procure all conference collateral, ensuring high-quality materials are delivered on time and within budget to enhance the brand.

Develop customized abstracts focused on client-specific subjects to secure speaking opportunities at leading industry conferences.

Review, manage, and negotiate contracts with off-site venues and event vendors.

Manage all event coordination including day-to-day administration, speaker, venue, vendor communication, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Develop and maintain detailed project and event plans, communicate project status, risks, and unexpected changes to all stakeholders, and coordinate with various departments to ensure project components are aligned with client expectations and company standards.

Gather client feedback to enhance future events and projects.

Provide guidance and support to team members involved in event planning and project management.

Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, event management, or related field.

3+ years of experience in marketing project management.

Experience in event planning and management.

Experience using MS Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, JIRA).

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Ability to travel 20 - 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP or similar certification.

Master's degree in communication or related field.

Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.

Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Ability to co-locate onsite with the clients during events and handle onsite logistics.
