Overview:
Manages all aspects of the accounting teams.
Responsibilities:
Leads, plans, and manages the accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing team.
Manages timely monthly and annual closing process.
Hires, trains, and develops accounting staff to meet department goals.
Understands customer contracts and reviews billing for completeness and accuracy.
Documents and evaluates processes to ensure good internal controls and SOX compliance.
Performs financial analysis and assists with the preparation of financial plans and budgets.
Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
Responsible for communicating correct coding for purchase requisitions to operations.
Assists in analyzing, interpreting and communicating taxes, cost and expense variances to management.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
