About the role:
As the Construction Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Sabey's Construction Accounts Payable team. This role is vital to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor and employee obligations, as well as driving continuous improvement in accounts payable processes.
The anticipated yearly salary range for this position is $70,000- 104,000 annually based on experience.
What you will be doing:
Managing and supervising daily operation of accounts payable and subcontractor payables.
Monthly contract check run, preparing reports for release of checks.
Preparing weekly check register reports for the CFO.
Preparing vendor credit applications.
Vendor set up and maintenance.
Annual 1099 review and preparation.
Processing, entering and posting SCI Billings – AR.
Preparing Excise Tax and B&O Tax Returns.
Overseeing routine Construction activities, such as disbursing checks to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
Continuous process improvement and development of procedures.
Sabey Construction Audits for Accounts Payable.
Sabey Construction Billings Preparation.
Monthly Accounts Payable Allocations for Safety, Cyber Security & Insurance.
Special Projects for Construction and Development.
Documenting, communicating, and implementing standard policies and procedures for Accounts Payable accounting related functions.
Ability to interact with all levels of Sabey employees, vendors, and subcontractors – must be able to build and maintain strong professional relationships with fellow Sabey employees and vendors.

Essential Functions:
Ability to interface with technology, operate a computer, and navigate Yardi
Time management and project management skills – must be able to efficiently manage deadlines for projects and oversee progress for accounting projects
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR directly related and equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in accounting or a directly related field.
5+ years of experience working in Accounts Payable.
Knowledge of Yardi is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite – Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
Advanced knowledge of full cycle accounting.
Advanced knowledge of the English language – must be able to demonstrate strong written and oral comprehension and expression.
Strong mathematical reasoning abilities – must be able to make sense of complex accounting systems and processes.
Working knowledge of accounting best practices – must be able to use relevant information and individual judgement to determine whether processes comply with laws, regulations, and standards.
Strong attention to detail – must be meticulous about accounting calculations and record keeping.
