Automotive Title Clerk: Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Handling the processing of licensing fees
Processing all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
Processing title applications while verifying funds and lien holders
Checking accuracy of documents, including applications to insure all information is complete
Verifying out-of-state titles
Compile and maintain lists of outstanding title work, relaying this information to management
Signing titles for wholesaler transactions
Posting wholesale vehicle sales
Processing New/Used deals with trade ins – to verify trade in titles
Calling Banks to check on status of title release.
Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of 1 year experience with a department of licensing and/or as a Title Clerk within an auto dealership.
Ability to work independently and with little direction.
Ability to multi-task and transition between tasks quickly.
Must have excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
Must be able to work effectively on a team
Ability to interact with all levels of staff while remaining professional and polite in varying situations.
