Job Summary:

The mission of Pierce College is to create quality educational opportunities to a diverse community of learners to thrive in an evolving world.

This position assists in achieving the mission and equity goals of the College by providing confidential administrative support to the Dean of Student Engagement providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and college and community partners.

This position will coordinate office operations, maintain calendars, coordinate travel arrangements, prepare reports, track budgets, prepare contracts, and assist with the day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include assisting the dean and directors with budgets oversight of programs, data tracking, reporting of annual reports, customer service both internal and external to the department; office management, and organization.

This position will provide backup coverage to the departments in the Division of Student Success to the Dean of Student Engagement due to a shortage due to illness, leave, training, increased volume, etc. This position will have general knowledge of Student Engagement and services in all departments and programs to provide coverage as needed. This position reports directly to the Dean of Student Engagement and requires regular and consistent campus presence.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in any field of study.

Three years of experience working as an administrative assistant OR in a progressively responsible office/clerical, secretarial, administrative work, support work, or similar focus.

Experience working with highly confidential matters.

Demonstrated experience in facilitating the success of individuals representing a broad range of academic, cultural, socioeconomic, ability, and ethnic backgrounds.

Special Requirements:

The successful candidate must consent to and pass a criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment.
