This entry-level position will give you exposure into every aspect of solarit's a great role to grow your career. The Solar Education Associate plays a critical role as the first point of contact for a prospective client with at A&R Solar, and supports the larger Sales Team in working with prospective clients to answer their questions about solar energy, assess the feasibility of a solar project at their home or business, and develop a system design and project proposal to help them make the switch to solar.
The Solar Education Associate will manage new inquiries and interact with clients in person and via phone, email, Live Chat, and will assist as needed with gathering and analyzing information, and developing project proposals. This position requires a high level of independence and self-direction as well as the ability to work within a fast-paced team setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Solar Customer Pre-Qualification
-Answering incoming phone calls and emails from prospective solar customers
-Building relationships with prospective clients
-Gathering preliminary information and answering initial solar-related questions
-Assessing solar site feasibility using remote evaluation tools
-Following up with prospective customers and tracking progress in Salesforce CRM
-Assigning pre-qualified leads to solar design consultants
-Initiating and maintaining live online chats with prospective customers browsing our website
-Screening unwanted phone calls and vendor solicitations
-Routing calls to other internal parties
Solar Ambassadorship
-Contacting current customers at specific intervals, milestones, or anniversaries
-Inquiring as to the health of the system, customer happiness, and providing recent solar news
-Asking directly for customer referrals, references and reviews

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Some completed college work
-Digital fluency (i.e. excellent computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft and Google-based applications)
PREFERRED CREDENTIALS
-College degree
-Solar-specific training or certification (NABCEP, SEI, other solar specific training)
