Kids N Play Learning Center is seeking a Cook for our child care center. Hours are 6:30am-1:30pm. Mon-Fri only. No weekends

Duties include:
Prepping and making Breakfast, Lunch, and two snacks per day
Creating a weekly food ordering list according to provided menu
Keep food prep areas, food storage areas, and kitchen space clean and tidy
Wash dishes
Ensure meals are meeting USDA/CACFP standards with the help of the admin and helping maintain classroom portion sizes and food counts
Help cover 10 minute breaks in classrooms and sometimes lunch breaks
Experience cooking for large groups of people is preferred, but not required. Candidate must have general knowledge of the basics of cooking, following recipes, cleaning and putting good flavors together.
Candidate must have a positive attitude, an aptitude and experience in cooking, good customer service skills and love children. Must be able to lift up to 60lbs including flour sacks, full bins of food, etc. Must be reliable and fast paced. This is an early shift and a very important job within a child care center so reliability is a huge factor. A WA State Food Worker card is required for this position, but can be obtained online through your local health department once hired.
