Do you enjoy teaching young children? Are you passionate about the ever-growing field of early childhood technology? Are you able to commit to several hours each week to engage with children, ages 4-7, in teaching educational software, coding, and robotics classes? If so, we would like to hear from you!

Children's Computer Corner has been engaging children in the joys of technology since 2007. In small group classes, our teachers strive to give each child positive hands-on experiences in technology. During the school year, our curriculum ranges from laptop and mouse to coding and robotics classes. The ideal candidate will have an ability to work independently and professionally as a guest teacher, providing enrichment classes to established preschools, daycares, and private elementary schools. Current schools are located mostly in areas north and east of Seattle.

Preferred candidates will have:

> 2 years of teaching experience with preschool or elementary ages

> BA degree, or current pursuit of higher education degree

> college credits in child development and/or STARS training

> CPR certification, or ability to obtain one

> familiarity with technology; interest in robotics and coding

> enthusiasm for teaching; desire for personal and professional growth

Responsibilities include:

> small group instruction with children 4-7 years-old

> class preparation, including lesson plans

> keeping accurate records of student attendance

> recording payments and collecting monthly tuition

> responsibly caring for laptops, tablets, electronic devices, and materials loaned

> professionally meeting with school directors

> maintaining professional attire and demeanor at all times

> reporting daily to immediate supervisor by phone, text, or email

> weekly in-person meetings for review and feedback

> other related duties as required

Prior to hiring, all candidates must:

> sign a non-compete agreement

> receive a full background check through Washington State Department of Youth and Family Services.

(Fingerprinting may be required.)

> show proof of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Position open until filled. Training to begin upon hire, as early as mid August.

Paid training - minimum 2 weeks.

Applicants able to commit from September 1, 2019 through June 22, 2020, will be given first consideration.
