Entry Level Engineer

Steady Flux is an engineering design firm located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. We’ve developed several products that service the oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for a new full-time employee to join our team as an entry-level engineer with 0-5 years of experience.

This person will be responsible for aiding in the design, drafting, assembly, and testing of proprietary mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as deploying that same equipment at different customer facilities in North America, South America, and the Middle East.

Job details are as follows:

Responsibilities:

-Support senior engineers and technicians in optimization of product design and usability

-Design and draft mechanical and electrical components

-Perform qualification testing of mechanical assemblies

-Travel to support product deployment at customer refineries and chemical plants

Required Skills:

-B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

-Proficient with Solidworks (other 3d modeling experience considered)

-Familiarity with ASME Y14.1 drafting standards

-Willingness to travel regularly for work

-Willingness to develop a deep understanding of ultrasonics and ultrasonic equipment

-Proficient with basic hand tools

-Must have or be able to acquire passport and TWIC card

-Must be able to pass background check and drug screening

Optional Skills:

-Experience with CNC, machining, welding, and/or other fabrication tools

-Experience working in the oil and gas industry

-Familiarity with OSHA and other safety regulations
